Glorious day at Godwick Great Hall

The Most Unusual Wedding Fair
Godwick Great Barn, nr King’s Lynn, Norfolk

What a great day we had at the Most Unusual Wedding Fair! I Do…had never visited Godwick Great Barn before and we were excited to see a new venue and also have a chin-wag with some other wedding suppliers from the area.

A chilly but bright sunny morning, we arrived early and quickly set up our stand. The event offered the perfect opportunity to try out a hessian backed display board for the pocketfold Thornham range (including a new recycled design that proved popular) and a special space for the brand new Titchwell designs – a 4 card pack includes invitation, rsvp, information and an illustrated map for directions, hand tied with twine, printed on recycled or watercolour card, finished with a tag to personalise. The matching reception cards went down a storm, fabulous fun for guests at their table.

We made sure we had time to look around Godwick Great Barn, which proved to be a beautiful space, with twinkling fairy lights, and a lovely bright, airy feel. The giant hat tipi in the grounds, supplied by Magical Camping was a sight to behold, while inside the Barn the harpist Xenia Horne gently entertained us, with both classic and more modern tunes.

Once the event got going, music supplied by Wandering Hands was great fun – the guys were keen to get everyone involved and strolled round the entire hall while playing.

And periodically a beautiful model would walk by wearing a wonderful wedding dress by designer Katrine Mogensen.

On her stand, The Little Lending Company was offering items that help create the perfect retro, vintage chic reception, while the Red Velvet Cake from Rose & Glory Cake Company could only be described as heavenly, we needed a second taste, just to be sure…

Thank you to both James & Sue @ Godwick for organising the event, much enjoyed by all.
